Sawyer County, Wisconsin

Sawyer County is located in northwest Wisconsin. It is named for Philetus Sawyer, who represented Wisconsin in the United States House of Representatives during the 19th Century.
The seat and largest city is Hayward. It is oftentimes considered one of the most rural counties. However, it attracts a lot of tourism.
US-63, WI-27 and WI-40 are the main roads through the county.
It is bordered by Bayfield, Ashland, Rusk, Price, Barron, Washburn and Douglas Counties.
